Busses arrive at the school between 8:00 and 8:10, so students do have time to eat school breakfast. The students that choose not to eat breakfast may work on spelling, reading, smart board, etc. until the breakfast students come back.
Busses leave at approximately 3:20.
Please call the bus garage at 218.746.3770 by 7:00 a.m. if your child will not be riding the bus that day.
Call the Elementary Office at 218.746.2111 by 2:00 to let them know you will be picking your child up (or if you know in advance, send a note to school with your child).
In order to ride the bus to any other home, your child must bring a note of permission from a parent and show it to his/her teacher and the bus driver. If there is a long-term change, a Transportation Request Form needs to be filled out. Contact the bus company Fornshell Bussing at 218.746.3770 to arrange a permanent change.
If your child is having a party and many friends will be riding the bus to your home, call Fornshell Bussing at 218.746.3770 in advance to ensure there is adequate space on the bus (and in addition each child will need a note from his/her parent).
Visiting During School Hours
YES! All parents are welcome anytime. You must first check in with the Elementary Office and get a visitor’s badge. The school does ask if possible that you notify your child’s teacher two days in advance of the time you intend to visit.
Contacting My Child During School Hours
If you need to contact your child, call the Elementary Office at 218.746.2111. They can deliver a message (unless it’s an emergency).
If you need to drop off a message, lunch, money, anything for your child, go to the Elementary Office. They will make sure your child gets the item.
Check with your child’s teacher first. If approved, the treats must be purchased in a store or bakery.
Unless your child is inviting the entire class (you brave parent!), the school asks that invitations be mailed or phoned to prevent hurt feelings. However the school will not give out phone numbers or addresses of other children.
Check with your child's teacher regarding policies involving electronic devices. In addition, you may review the school's Bring Your Own Device Policy found on the school's website page "Calendars, Newsletters, Handbooks" (below):
